MORAWA - More of WA!

As Western Australians are confined to travel within their own State (albeit one that covers 2.6 million square kilometres and a third of Australia), the Shire of Morawa has recognised the urgent need to promote itself to us locals ahead of the 2020 Wildflower Season and taken the initiative to fund its own advertising campaign.

Skyworks WA was engaged by the Shire of Morawa in late May to produce a 30 second commercial for both TV and internet.  This was certainly a challenge for us, with a window of only 6 weeks to produce the concept, storyboard, filming and editing, plus obtaining TV advertising approval.  Adding to the challenge was also the fact that the wildflower season doesn’t start until late July, so the importance of having a large library of stock footage available from the region was paramount. 

The resulting video, launched yesterday, is one that both Skyworks WA and The Shire of Morawa are extremely proud of, and it goes to show what can be done at a truly local level with a very limited budget.
